Spirit Link
This game is an entry for Extra Credits Game Jam #4.
Spirit Link is a small game about collecting the spirits of monsters by killing them with a magical attack. The collected spirits allow you to gain the powers of the monsters you killed, which in turn allows you to navigate through the levels successfully to find the four puzzle pieces that will lead you home.
Controls:
WASD or arrow keys to move
Left mouse button or Control to shoot a more damaging, but killing shot
Right mouse button or Shift to shoot a less damaging shot that will cause the enemy's spirit to be collected

Took me a while to get what capturing the spirits did. Only played through the first level but was a fun little game. Controlled well but I can see people easily missing pieces if they are not careful. Congrats on completing a game during the game jam.
Really nice game! At first I didn't understand why I had to collect the spirits of the enemies and was very confused why I couldn't jump anywhere but when I realized what I was supposed to do it was really fun! :D
I don't know if you've heard of Game Development World Championship before (gdwc2019) but it's a competition for indie game developers where they can submit their games and it's free! It's great if you want some more visibility for the game and it only takes a couple of minutes to join :)
